Why did God create the human race?

There are two main purposes: long-term and short-term.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end" (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

• Long-term purpose: One day, God wants to bring the whole humanity to live with Him in Heaven eternally as a great, big, loving family.
• Short-term purpose: God wants our short stay here on earth (our temporary home) to prepare us for eternity (our permanent home in Heaven).
