Is there a Reunion of the loved ones after death?

Most people do not like to think about death or talk about it. Most people want to live forever (If it is a sickness and problem-free life) even though we know that physical death is part of our life cycle. Not many can give an adequate answer to this important question, even though it is inevitable.

From a human point of view, no one knows what happens beyond the grave.

We know this much: When a person dies his or her physical body is either buried or cremated. The ashes then become part of the dust of the earth. Beyond that, as human beings we have no knowledge about what happens.

Most people who believe in a purely materialistic world, think that there is no life after death.

Therefore from a human point of view no one knows whether there will be a REUNION of our loved ones or what happens after death. What about from God's point of view?

However, from God's point of view I believe that one does not need to fear death but can be prepared to face it.

From God's point of view

The only Person who knows what happens beyond the grave is our Creator God. What does He say about it? When I examined the Christian Holy Bible I discovered the following. In Luke 16:19–23, Jesus the Son of God said,

"There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores and longing to eat what fell from the rich man's table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

"The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side.

"The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side."

This indicates that death is not the end. After death our souls will either go to heaven or to hell depends upon what did we do with Jesus Christ.

What is heaven like and who else will be there?

Heaven is a wonderful place.

The Apostle John wrote in Revelation 21:11, 22, 23, 25, 27:

"It (Heaven, the holy Jerusalem) was filled with glory of God, ...

"Flashed and glowed like a precious gem, crystal clear like jasper. No temple could be seen in the city, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb (Jesus) are worshipped in it everywhere. The believers are REUNITED to worship God.

"And the city has no need of Sun and Moon to light it. For the glory of God and the Lamb light it.

"Its gates never close; they stay open all day long –- and there is no night. Nothing evil will be permitted in it -- no one immoral or dishonest -- but only those whose names are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Therefore all those who believed in Jesus will be in heaven worshiping God together.

What is hell like and who else will be there?

"Then the devil who had betrayed them will again be thrown into the Lake of Fire burning with sulphur where the Creature and False Prophets are, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." (Revelation 20:10).

In Luke 16:23-31, Jesus continued saying

"There (the rich man) in torment, he saw Lazarus in the far distance with Abraham.

"'Father Abraham,' he shouted, 'have some pity! Send Lazarus over here if only to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am in anguish in these flames.'

"But Abraham said to him, 'And besides, there is a great chasm separating us, and anyone wanting to come to you from here is stopped at the edge; and no one over there can cross to us.'"

Rich man pleaded for his brothers from hell

Jesus continued saying,

"Then the rich man said, 'O Father Abraham, then please send him to my father's home -- for I have five brothers -- to warn them about this place of torment lest they come here when they die.'

"But Abraham said, 'The Scriptures (Holy Bible) have warned them again and again. Your brothers can read them any time they want to.'

"The rich man replied, 'No, Father Abraham, they won't bother to read them. But if someone is sent to them from the dead, then they will turn from their sins.' But Abraham said, 'If they won't listen to Moses and the prophets, they won't listen even though someone rises from the dead.'"

Jesus described Hell as, "outer darkness, there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth" (Matthew 25:30). In the darkness no one can see one another. There is neither REUNION nor CELEBERATION in HELL.

Think of it. It is an awe-full place to go to. You may be asking, "How to make sure that I will go to heaven to be reunited with my loved ones after death?"

How to be reunited with our loved ones after death?

If you want to have a REUNION of your loved ones after death, it is important that everyone in the family and friends individually receive Jesus Christ as his or her Saviour and Lord.

Begin with your self. After you have received Christ, tell your family and friends to do the same without further delay, because we do not know when each of us may die.
