G. Do you search God with wrong motives?
Some people do not search for God sincerely and wholeheartedly. In 1 Chronicles 28: 9-10, King David addressed his son Solomon saying,
"And you my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek him he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever" (1 Chronicles 28:9-10).
H. Are you beyond salvation?
Some people even believe that because they are living a sinful life God will not accept them.
When the scribes of the Pharisees saw that He was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they said to His disciples, "Why is He eating and drinking with tax collectors and sinners?"
And hearing this, Jesus said to them, "It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners" (Mark 2:15-17).
The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy, saying,
"But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life" (1 Timothy 1:16).
I. Are you destined to be excluded?
Some others believe that God had predestined them to be lost. But the predestination is in Christ. God will accept all who come through Christ Jesus.
"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will -- to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves. In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.
And he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment -- to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ" (Ephesians 1:3-10).
"And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession -- to the praise of his glory" (Ephesians 1:13-14).
Therefore, God has not excluded anyone from His grace. All sinners are welcome through Jesus Christ into His everlasting kingdom. But we could exclude ourselves from him by rejecting Jesus as our Savior and lord.
Do you sincerely want to know God?
After reading this article if you have realized that you need to sincerely and wholeheartedly want to know the Creator God, here is how you could find Him.
God knows that we cannot find Him because we do not know where He is, even though he is everywhere. Therefore God came down in the person of Jesus Christ to find us and save us. It is God finding us not we try to find Him.
"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
We love because he first loved us. If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen" (1 John 4:18-20).
Therefore, if you receive Jesus Christ you can know God. If you are sincerely seeking God now, here is how you can receive Jesus Christ.
